Laksha Industry in Sri Lanka

* Laksha industry is one of the oldest and traditional industries in Sri Lanka. According to the folklore,     Laksha artisans were among on eighteen castes who came to this country when Sri Maha Bodi               arrived.

Laksha is obtained from the larvae of the Laksha insect, which live in the trees such as kappetiya and thalakiriya. Laksha colors are made by mixing Laksha with green and yellow by mixing with Sadilingam.

They used natural  materials for this progress. Even though stuff that comes out from the Laksha insect is colourless, they add various colours and make them colourful. ..... The colours of the campaign  which going be used are warm colours.
